Why do women wish to marry cold-blooded killers?

I believe this is the ultimate "he needs me" scenario. There are people who are attracted to people that need "fixing" for lack of a better description. If I love them enough they'll love me back, or I've got enough love for both of us. There's also the idea that being with someone famous (regardless of the reason for the fame) is titillating.
