Are scorpio men ever sensitive or do they generally just care about themselves?

I am dating a Scorpio man and it's been about 5 months. He seems to ( as Jen aniston once said about brad Pitt ) be missing a sensitivity chip. For instance, my father has cancer and lives 12 hours from me. When I mentioned the stress of trying to figure out a way to find him adequate housing close to me his responce was who's fault is it he lives so far away. He saw nothing wrong with his statement and did not see it as being insensitive. He's very black and white that way. It seems as though he is this way in every facet of his life and if something happens in his life it's earthshattering but I I have news or problems he seems very aloof. What's the deal? I know he cares if I am in his life because if I get upset with him he try's to make it up to me and does feel bad. But he seems to not notice anything outside his little bubble.
